Freshman music education major at Wayne State University but I currently hold a 3.3 in my non-music classes english, science, math etc.
Experience
I used to tutor elementary and middle school students in singing, basic music theory, english, reading, and biology. I received a 28 on my ACT exam and ones in all subject but math, which I received a two on, on the Michigan Merit Exam. I want to be a tutor because I love teaching. Also I plan to be a music teacher when I graduate college. So just an opportunity to help teach a student something new is always exciting to me. Throughout my four years In high school my G.P.A never dropped below a 3.4. That was with taking A.P courses and honors courses as well as taking extra classes before school for extra credits. My graduating G.P.A was a 3.64, and I also did drama and choir all four years of high school. Also I played football for all four years of high school so am very good at time management. I have been to the Michigan All-State Honors choir my last three years of high school. An event which takes the best 120 high school singers from the state of Michigan. And we perform a concert at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival at Western Michigan University. I have also been to MSVMA Solo and Ensemble as a soloist all four years of high school as a soloist and received a perfect score my junior and senior year. However, I still received ones my freshman and sophomore year. Also I have attended the Interlochen Fine Arts Academy for three summers in a row. I have also helped conduct and teach a elementary youth choir all four years of high school. I also spent three years volunteer coaching in a elementary/middle school flag football league.
